Have you ever wondered what it would be like to walk in another mom's shoes? If you are a mom who works outside the home, do you often think, "what the hell does that stay-at-home mom do all day?!" And for those who stay at home, do you ever find yourself envious of the moms who get to dress up and leave the house to talk to adults? Yes, yes-- we know you love your kids, your life, your CHOICE-- but wouldn't it be interesting to know what goes on in a life that so starkly contrasts your own? We do too-- which is why we started this blog.
Since becoming moms a few years ago, we have had countless conversations about changing diapers, breastfeeding, sleeping through the night, and all the other baby topics that inundate a new mom's brain; but the most interesting and honest conversations we've had seem to all be about the same thing: working vs. staying at home. Now, as best friends who have chosen different paths, our conversations have always been supportive, empathetic, and most importantly, HONEST, which has given us both a great gift-- the gift of a new perspective. We hope to keep that honest, supportive and empathetic spirit alive as we open our conversations to all of you. Let's talk about what it's like! Stay-at-home moms: what is it like to be home with your kids all day? And working moms: what are your greatest struggles being outside the home? Let's be honest! Let's give each other advice and support! All moms have struggled with their choice at one time or another, but something that we've come to discover in our conversations is that there is no "wrong" or "right," and the grass is not necessarily greener on the other side. Motherhood is fulfilling, challenging, and emotional for all of us-- let's drop the stereotypes and talk about it!
